A few years ago, Kiloton signed their very first Kiloton Maintenance Agreement (KMA) with Arcelor Mittal’s V1 & V2 workshop.  To this day, the total number of agreements signed has grown significantly and we are extremely blessed.

Now you are probably thinking, “What is a KMA?” Well…let me explain.

A KMP is an agreement between the user and the supplier where the supplier commits to providing a service to the user. The KMP transfers the responsibility of the user, to the supplier, thus making the auditing process hassle-free. The user receives Enerpac Safety Training which is free of charge. Regular maintenance checks and repairs will be carried out where necessary, to keep your equipment safe to use. The full history of every unit will be captured in a file. In this file you will find inspection sheets, certification, and product pictures. Visual inspections will be conducted every 3 to 6 months with load testing on an annual basis.

Initially, Kiloton have offered a maintenance program that caters to all maintenance-related services specifically for the Enerpac brand. Kiloton now offers maintenance programs on all power tools and pneumatic equipment sold to our customers.

“The program makes it easier for our clients to identify what equipment they have. Equipment is easily identifiable because all equipment is numbered, and test certificates are issued. When equipment needs to be repaired, only original supplier parts are used, which gives our customers peace of mind. The benefit of the Kiloton Maintenance Agreement is that you get a free yet effective program, free safety training, and someone else is taking care of your safety needs.” Kevin Els, training facilitator at Kiloton, explained.
